He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Outhouse and Annie Outhouse (Blizzard); his son-in-law Ron Blum; his siblings, Perry (Lucille), George (Evelyn), Howard (Blanche), Raymond, Mary Hoffmaster (Wayne), Grace Hagen (Robert), Russell (Katherine), Alice Watson (Robert) and Ruth Metzler (Harlan); his in-laws, Clarence and Anna Schulz (Elvekrog); and his sister-in-law Judy Schulz.

He is survived by: his wife Ardys Schulz; his children, Nancy Blum, Brian (Renae Sieling) and Sue Vanderbilt (Loren); his grandchildren, Nicole, Kelli, Gloria, Robert, Marisa (Nik), Matt (Christina) and Lindsey; his great grandchildren, Veronica, Nolan and Henry; and his brothers-in-law, Curtis Schulz (Judy) and Dean Schulz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
