He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hougan and Anna Hougan (Linde); his wife Margaret Rothen; his siblings, Arnold, Howard, Donald Hougan, Elda Rynning and Ruth Sagen; and his son-in-law Ed Dondlinger.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret, Joni Brown (David) of Harbor Springs, MI, Connie Davis (Jim) of Tacoma, WA, Tom Hougan (Shari) of Richland Center, WI, Steve Hougan of Stoughton, Laurie Culbertson (Terry) of Hendersonville, TN, Ann Swain (Dean) of Owensboro, KY, Lucy Rinehart (Bob) of Centerville, WA, Joe Hougan (Cheryl) of Stoughton, Mike Hougan (Pili) of Stoughton, Scott Hougan (Terry Wethal) of Stoughton and Sue Dondlinger (Brad Statz) of McFarland, WI.. He is also survived by his 11 children, 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations may be made to Agrace Hospice Care or the American Legion Post 59 in Stoughton, WI.
