It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Cecelia Bersing of Stoughton, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Counter and Hazel Counter (Baker); her husband Vernon Bersing; and her siblings, Bill, John, Maxine, Geri and Kass.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Burmeister (Curt), Sandra Quam (Wayne), Gina Nordness (Rob), Steven Bersing (Randi) and David Bersing; her brother Ken Counter (Barb); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Counter and Harris Bersing. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (323 N Van Buren St, Stoughton, WI 53589). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Ann Catholic Cemetery (2504 County Hwy A, Stoughton, WI 53589).
Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church, Agrace HospiceCare or to Skaalen Retirement Services as a donation for a transport van.
