With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doreen Ione Steensrud of Stoughton, Wisconsin, born in Madison, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 4, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Donald Steensrud; her pets, Duffy and Tammy; her mother Inga Thompson; her stepfather Otis Thompson; and her grandparents, Albert, Olive Steensrud, John Martinson and Martha Tollund (Martinson).
She is survived by: her pet Darcy; her siblings, Gary Thompson (Linda) and Bev Meyer (Matt); her nieces and nephews, Phil Thompson (Lori), Travis Thompson, Mandi Peterson, Tiffany Nolden (Randy), Eva Janowski (Rob) and Dwight Meyer; and her great-nephews, John Dankowski and Tom Dankowski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., the Best Friends Animal Society, or the Vermont Lutheran Church.
