He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Steckbauer and Dorothy Steckbauer (Meyers); and his wife Nancy Mae Evans. He is survived by: his children, Steven Steckbauer (Allison), Kathy Turensky (Dave), Tracy Wurtzler (Wally) and David Steckbauer (Kerry); and his grandchildren, Josh Turensky, Ashley Turensky, Kyle Steckbauer, Megan Bancroft (Ethan), Stephanie Hillis (Jordan), Erin Meronk (Marv), Sheri Kulas (Allan), Travis Steckbauer (Chelsea), Kellie Johnson (Blake) and Bryce Steckbauer. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Stoughton Hospital or to Commonheart Hospice.
