He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Tiedt and Margaret Tiedt (Knudsen); his wife Darcy Will; and his parents-in-law, Roy and Carol Rosenthal.

He is survived by: his siblings, Merri Lynn Tiedt (Yino Sanchez), Susan Jacobson (Don), Judy Yonash (Vic), Greg Tiedt (Janet Flynn), Bob Tiedt (Sue), Steve Tiedt (Sandy), Brian Tiedt, Mark Tiedt (Jackie Malliet) and Richard Tiedt; his brother-in-law Scott Rosenthal (Yvonne); and his friend Jacqueline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
