He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Zawistowski and Marie Zawistowski (Makuch). He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Ingbretson; his children, Laura Vortanz (Steve), William Zawistowski (Julie), Suzanne Henk (Steve) and Amanda DePew (Barry); and his sisters, Joan O'Leary and Kathleen Zawistowski. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

“I just learned of Billy's passing. I went to Jordan School with him and his sisters as I was living on Victory Heights at the time. Had dinner at their house one time and their mother made the best pork chops I have ever had-never will forget how I marveled over those pork chops. Billy and I were in the same grade; however, I moved to Florida for high school and we lost touch. But I remember him and I just wanted to let his family know he was a nice 5-6-7 gr friend.
