He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Wertschnig and Anna Wertschnig (Schmidt); his brothers, Joseph and Martin Wertschnig; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Cleveland, Robert LeRoy, Josephine and Margaret Wertschnig.
He is survived by: his siblings, Verna Cleveland of Colgate, WI, Loretta LeRoy of Stone Lake, WI and James Wertschnig (Patti) of Delafield, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Philip's Catholic Church (5750 Frost Ave, Stone Lake, WI 54876). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner, WI 54801).
