He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Michalke and Kathleen Michalke; his son John William Michalke; and his sister Mona Michalke Quinn. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Svihel; his sons, Tong Trinh (Mai Thomb), Thai Trinh (Lynn) and Paul Michalke (Anna Goldammer); and his grandchildren, Max, Mason, Mikaela, Tina, Anne, Leah and Madeleine Rose.
