He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Helke and Dorothy Helke (Groth); his sisters, Marie Stettner and Doris Langaard; and his brother-in-law Bill Jeffers.
He is survived by: his wife Ardell Winsky; his daughters, Kim Thompson and Karla Wortman (Shawn); his grandsons, Jonathan, Andrew, Caleb and Kyle; his siblings, Arvin Helke (Linda) and Karen Bowser (John); and his brothers-in-law, Leonard Stettner and David Winsky (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Matthew's Church, Luther High School, or the Stoddard Fire Dept.
