He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hanson and Viola Hanson; his parents-in-law, Carl and Gertrude Oliver; and his brother-in-law Evan Lowrey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his sister Donna Lowrey; his sons, Randy Hanson (Debbie Koblitz) and Trent Hanson (Rhonda); his grandsons, Travis, Kyle Hanson, Tyler Hanson (Rachael), Zachery and Tanner Hanson; and his great grandchildren, Tucker, Johnathan, Ellie, Leo and Kori. He is also survived by niece and nephew; along with numerous relatives and friends.
