He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce; his parents, Walter Sobkowiak and Lillian Sobkowiak; his siblings, Bernadine and James Sobkowiak; his siblings-in-law, Eugene Hauser, Thomas Pierce and Patricia Sobkowiak; and his son-in-law George Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Dennis, Karen Helgerson, Paul Sobkowiak (Jane Brockway) and Chad Sobkowiak; his grandchildren, Lynn, Landon, Laura Helgerson, Trevor, Gracie Sobkowiak and Daniel Dennis (Valerie); his great grandchild Asher Helgerson; his siblings, Aloysious (Mary), Daniel (Margie), Ronald (Sally), Bernard (Deb), Donald Sobkowiak, Irene Hauser, Dorothy Pierce and Anne Manuel (Robert); and his sister-in-law Irene Sobkowiak. He is also survived by his best friends were his brothers, sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made in Charlie's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
