He was predeceased by: his parents, John Konkel and Lorraine Konkel; and his siblings, George, John Jr. (Bud), Dick and Ann Lierman.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Sievert; his son Jason (Jennifer); his granddaughters, Jasmine, Anna, Madeline, Olivia and Isla; and his siblings, Mike (Joanne), Theresa DePouw, Lorraine Wickman (Peg), Irene Rymer (Doug), Maryann Jenquin (Keith), Joanne Talbot (Ray), Marge Krumpos, Kathy Kaufert (David), Carole Konkel, Rosemary Porath and Leona Rockteschel (Robert).
