She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Pelot and Angeline Pelot (Kopinski); and her husband Rudy. She is survived by: her children, Allan Olson (Sherry), Dennis Olson, Linda O'Hara (Patrick) and Nancy Olson (Greg); her grandchildren, Christopher, Angeline, Tobias and Katherine; and her great grandchild Katherine.
After Rudy's retirement, the two relocated back to Shirley's hometown and built themselves a beautiful ranch home where they remained until Rudy's Alzheimer's led them back to Milwaukee to be close to their children.
