He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Kitto and Meta Kitto (Paschen); and his former wife Carol. He is survived by: his wife Lois Laughlin; his children, John, Janice and Jody; his stepchildren, Kevin, Maren, Paul, Dane, Peter and Robyn; his grandchildren, Eric, Leanne, Katie, Rob and Cassie; his stepgrandchildren, Alex, Noah, Sam, Charlie, Owen and Coco; and his great grandchildren, David, Ethan, Alex and Robert.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
