He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hintz and Lucy Hintz; his sister Beatrice Nagorski; and his stepsisters, Caroline, Esther, Lucy, Florence and Joan.
He is survived by: his wife Leone (Zick); his children, Robert Hintz Stevens (Carol), Pauline Czaplinski Stevens (Tom), Jean Ligman Stevens (Dale) and Julie Studinski Plover (Earl); and his grandchildren, Dan Hintz (Kim), Jacob Hintz (Amanda), Jesse Hintz (Rebecca Hoerter), Jamie Fitzner (Mike), Brian Czaplinski (Stephanie), Holly Chilson (Eric), Cassandra Ligman (Nevin Smith) and Mariah Studinski (Brucie).
