He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mary Louise Shumway (Chad), Jean Benson and Carolyn; and his brother-in-law Christopher "Kip" Korper. He is survived by: his wife Cynny; his children, John Porter (Dawn) and Wendy Porter (Steve Nyberg); his grandchildren, Laura Porter and Christopher Porter; his sister-in-law Candace Killian (Robert); his extended Vietnamese; and also, Chung Nguyen-Duc, Tina "Tu" Tuho (Wes Lukashek), Chinh Nguyen-Duc (Kathy) and Nha-Ai Nguyen-Duc (Chip Blazey). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
