He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Shafranski and Theresa Shafranski (Marx); his aunt Katherine "Dena" Marx; and his sisters, Madeline Schultz and Jeanette Moe.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tuszka; his children, Tom (Lori) of Stevens Point, Jim (Lisa) of Stevens Point, Mary Kay Brekke (Mike) of Sun Prairie, WI and Mike (Jill) of Verona, WI.; his grandchildren, Jamison, Grant Shafranski (Angela Vadnais), Aaron, Mindy, Matthew Shafranski, Sami Kay Elliott (Isaac), Christonna, Theresa Shafranski, Zander (Lauren), Lee (Lauren), Carter (Kelli Clostermery), Mike Brekke Jr., Jack, Leo and Katherine Shafranski; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Blake Brekke and Jake Brekke; his brother Richard Shafranski of Katy, TX; and his cousin Mary Ann Russell of Stevens Point.
Masks will be required for the mass, and social distancing will be enforced at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pacelli Catholic Education Foundation and the VA Medical Centers--specify Tomah.
