She was predeceased by: her parents, Siegfried Darnieder and Margarethe Becker; and her husband Heinz Walter Waldmann. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Bablitch (Daniel); and her grandson Alexander Bablitch of Lake Mills, WI..

Due to COVID, the family has made the difficult decision to restrict services to close family.

However, contributions can be made in Helgard's name to SSM Health at Home Foundation of Wisconsin.
