He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Young and Marian Young (Smith); his former wife Evelyn; and his siblings, Duane and Helen.

He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Donald Jr. (Beth), Rodney (Denise), Becky (Kelli), Carmie (Brian), Jackie (Darrell), Ron (Traci), Kevin (Terry), Michelle and Jeremy; and his sister Ann. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
