He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gove and Bernice Gove (Rundhammer); his wife Elaine Gove; his sons, Casey Gove and Michael Gove; and his brother Jerry Gove (Virginia).

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Peterson (John), Pat Brozek (Tony), Jeanie Olson (Brian), Colleen Wojciechowski (Kevin) and Kelly Gove (Missi); his daughter-in-law Mary Gove; his grandchildren, J. R. Roberts, Sarah Easton (Mike), Joe Brozek (Miranda), Jake Brozek, Andy Olson (Susan), Ben Olson (Lindsey), Dylan Gove, Danny Gove (Linna), Logan Gove, Regan Gove, Alex Wojciechowski, Tyler Wojciechowski (Allie Stalboerger) and Casey Gove; his great grandchildren, Brynn, Carli Brozek, Tessa, Connor Olson, Nora and Quinn Olson; and his siblings, Mary McGee and Greg Gove. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
