He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Longfellow and Helen Longfellow; his sister Joan Themmes; and his son-in-law Tom Diel. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Kristin Diel and Jason Longfellow (Melinda); his grandchildren, Amber Marie, Tyler Thomas, Conner Christian Diel and Gretta Mable Longfellow; and his siblings, Douglas Longfellow (Mary Lou) and Joyce Jahn.
