He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Gwiazda and Mary Gwiazda (Figura); his wife Judith A. Meeker; his sons, Michael and Jeff Gwiazda; and his siblings, John Starr, Walter Gwiazda, Joseph Gwiazda, Mary Przybylski, Estelle Wellner, Katherine Przybylski, Sophie Gwiazda and Anna Selewone.
He is survived by: his former wife Marian P. Wachsmuth; and his children, Doreen Dus (Dean) of Cadott, Brian Gwiazda (Bonnie) of Navarre, FL and Lorie Gwiazda (Mike Laird) of Holcombe. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
