He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvie Lansing and Annabelle Lansing (Roatch); his parents-in-law, Arnold and Margaret Klatt; his son Bert Joseph Jr.; his siblings, Douglas Lansing (Dixie Brown) and Mary Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Wes Bol, Robert Sanford, David Klatt, Wayne Klatt, Gary, Ardy Klatt and Shirley Huey.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Jodi Madden (Erin) of Fall Creek and Bret Lansing of Spring Valley; his grandchildren, Kate Clark (Will), Emily Kinsella (Mason), Cameron and Cody Madden; his sisters, Reta Sanford, Peggy Koehler (Fred), Harriet Lansing (Allan Klein) and Jane Lansing (Jo Haberman); his siblings-in-law, Eugene Klatt (Debby), Joyce Hellendrung (Dan), Sandra Klatt and Judy Klatt; and his nephews, Jeffrey Koehler, Alexander Klein, Terry "Watson" Bol and Randy Sanford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and neighbors.
