He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Marklein and Susan Marklein (McPhillips); his wife Marcy; and his siblings, James, Robert, William, Margaret and Catherine.
He is survived by: his son Douglas (Jean); his grandchildren, Erin Kollenbroich (Benjamin) and Caitlin Nelson (Steven); his son Robert (Jane); his granddaughters, Elizabeth (Brett Saternus), Alison and Laura; his daughters, Mary Beth (Peter Kunkel) and Kelly Strebe (Kevin); his grandchildren, Kristopher and Kurtis; his daughter Kristine Marklein; his great grandchildren, Owen, Clara Saternus, Madeleine and Harriet Kollenbroich; his siblings, Philip (Rita), Donald (Carol) and Susan McCarville (Phillip); and his sister-in-law Marlene Marklein (James). He is also survived by ten brothers/sisters-in law, and countless nieces and nephews.
