He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Murphy and Marie Murphy (Lynch); and his siblings, Jack, Leo "Vince" Murphy and Kathleen Beyer.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Murphy of Spring Green; his children, Cindy Liegel (Jim), Mike Murphy (Linda), Dan Murphy (Judy), Lisa Wahl (Ray), Carleen Humpal (Tim) and Karen Hackl (Dan); and his grandsons, Josh Wahl (Catrina), Justin Wahl (Kaylee) and Shane Murphy (Kasie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church or the Howard Murphy Scholarship Fund.
