Don Gruber Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Gruber of Spring Green, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Don Gruber to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Frieda Gruber of Spring Green, WI; his wife Carol; and his brother-in-law Dwight Hoesly. He is survived by: his children, Mark Gruber (Dawn) of Burlington, Gayle Boos (Jeff) of Fort Atkinson and Greg Gruber (Janine) of Sun Prairie; his grandchildren, Nicole Gavigan (Mark), Tanner Boos (Bree), Braeden Gruber, Josh Gruber and Kaelyn Gruber; his great grandchildren, Cayson, Callie Gavigan and Graham Boos; his brother Jim Gruber (Jo); his sisters-in-law, Delores Einerson (Ron) and Janis Hoesly; and his longtime assistant coach Gary Hamm (Bonnie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or made out to Don Gruber which will be used to establish an athletic scholarship in his honor.
