We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2020, at the age of 75, Paul Goellner (Spooner, Wisconsin), born in Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Karl E. "Gene" and Ruth E. Goellner (Godwin); his wife Bette Colville of Spooner; his former spouses, Sage Goellner (Ben Hirby) of Madison, WI and Sara Jones (Scott) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Reed Hirby, Oliver Hirby, Rylan Jones and Lyla Jones; and his brothers, Dr. John Goellner (Ann) of Rochester, MN, Karl Goellner (Mary) of Dahlonega, GA and Dr. Mark Goellner (Anita) of Duluth, MN..

“Paul was my doctor for a number of years, he also looked after Mike and Carson Champlin and Joan Bukrey. He was a great doctor, most caring and knowledgeable, also compassionate. I first met him when he was caring for Carson Champlin as he was dying of cancer. Paul would visit him and care for Carson when he was reacting to morphine - imagining traumas. He didn’t share our faith and yet he came to Carson’s funeral despite his busy life. We send our love to Betty and prayers.”
