He is survived by: his sons, Michael Buckwheat (Samantha) of Spooner and Melvin Buckwheat (Victoria) of Spooner; his grandchildren, Trinity, Sheri, Emily, Christopher, Casandra, Melvin II, Remington and Airabella; and his brother Michael Nickels.
