He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Sr. Pettey and Helen Pettey (Struckmann). He is survived by: his wife Verdell Schwantz of Plainview, MN.; his sons, Terry (Elizabeth) and Eric (Carrie); his grandchildren, Brandyn, Carter, Olivia, Isaac and Adeline; his siblings, Nina Koperski (Paul) of Ventura, CA and Lyle Pettey (Maribeth) of Rochester, MN; his nieces, Sarah Pettey (Justine Marks) and Kristin Manzo (Tyler); his nephew Scott Pettey (Denise); his great-nephew Gavin Clark; and his pet Joey.
