Evelyn Melton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Melton (Spooner, Wisconsin), who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Waite and Mildred Waite (Johnson); her husband Cecil Melton; her son-in-law Don Trott; her great grandchild Tyson Garcia; her great great grandchild Evah; and her siblings, Norman Waite and Eileen.
She is survived by: her children, Homer Melton (Estell) of Danbury, Vicki Trott of Spooner, Richard Melton (Karen) of Shell Lake, Peggy Vesta (Jeff) of Spooner, Allan Melton (Julie) of Shell Lake and Robin Melton of Burnsville, MN. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Christian Church (106 Balsam St, Spooner, WI 54801). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Shell Lake Cemetery (W7280 County Hwy B, Shell Lake, WI 54871).
