He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. Melton and Viola C. Melton (Dickerson); his brother Charles Melton; his children, Donna Melton-Markadonis, Alan Melton, Patti Melton and Stanley Melton; and his granddaughter Kari Kopping-Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn (Micken); his children, Kent Melton, Lois Persen (Robert Dings), Cindy Moore (Kenneth), Barbara Melton and Beverly Melton (Adan Salanda); and his siblings, Bion Melton, Lily Melton, Gene Melton (Shirley) and June Mueller (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
