He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Petersen and Agnes Petersen; his children, Guy Joe and LuAnn; his siblings, George, Chuck, Dorothy and Carla; his former wife MaryAnn; his mother-in-law Irene; and his brother-in-law Steve.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Simonson; his children, Mike Petersen and Wendy Nergard (Bill); and his siblings, Glenn Petersen and Margaret Daigle. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
