She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Keyes and Alice "Irene" Keyes (Edwards); her stepfather James "Jim" LaSage; and her siblings, Edwina Keyes, Mary "Delores" Cook, Dorothy Sommer, Robert Keyes and Richard Keyes.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Travis Schafer, Adam Krokstrom, Ryan Krokstrom, Alex Krokstrom, Brandon Thieme and Mark Reis; her husband Roland Schafer of Spencer; her children, Tom, Deb Schafer (Griepentrog) of Spencer, Greg Schafer (Sommer Clemmenson) of Hudson, Tammy Hanson (Tom) of Lincoln, NE, Lorrie Krokstrom of Marshfield, Michelle Thieme (Kenneth) of Spencer and Colleen Reis (Andrew) of Unity; and her siblings-in-law, Audrey Keyes, Vera Keyes, Jeanette Paun (Thomas), Judy Sazama (Reed), Debra Purvis (Jeff), Kenneth Schafer and Roger Schafer. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren (two on the way) and many nieces and nephews.
