She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Schwantes and Elsie Schwantes (Miller); her husband Elmer Bruss; her sister Selva Jean; and her stepgranddaughter Amanda Neumann.
She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Bruss (Tammy) and Bradford Bruss (Joan); her grandchildren, Stacie Bruss (David Fedel), Heather Bruss (David Mauk), Hallie Bruss, Joshua Bruss (Roberta) and Nicole Buse (Derek); her great grandchildren, Lily, Crew, Owen and Sylvia; her siblings, Darleen Winkler (Edward) and Archie Schwantes (Jean); her stepgrandchild Kyle Crum (Amber); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Aiden and Jase. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren, as well as many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield on Thursday, September 17, 2020, from 4:00 p. m. until 6:00 p. m. A funeral service for family members only will be private. Burial will take place in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Spencer. (Due to COVID 19, masks, and social distancing would be appreciated during the visitation).
