She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Maurine and Cleo Maurine; and her siblings, Katherine, Cleo and Tom.

She is survived by: her former husband Loren Smith; her children, Greg Smith of Fernandina Beach, FL, Lauren Simer (Alan) of Liberty, SC and Ryan Smith (Linda) of Sparta, WI; her grandchildren, Kathryn Carberry (Ken), Andrew Simer (Kara), Philip Simer (Akvilija), Mackenzie Smith and Delaney Smith; and her great grandchildren, Macy, Reid, Ruben, Ella and Tucker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marine Toys for Tots or the Sparta Fire Protection District by sending checks made out to SFPD c/o Ryan M. Smith, 5592 Hamilton Ave., Sparta, WI 54656.
