He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ruden and Leona Von Ruden (Heinz); his wife Janet Steinhoff; and his sisters, Marie Forss, Luella Dockendorff, Bernice Schumacher and Elretha Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his children, James Von Ruden (Wendy) of Sparta and Thomas Von Ruden of Sparta; his granddaughter Chelsea Bodoh (Matthew) of Oconomowoc; his great grandchildren, Adelyn and Brayden; and his brother Richard Von Ruden of La Crosse.
