He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Slotten and Agnes Slotten (Helgeson); his sisters, Kay Louise and Beth Ann Hustad (Dale); his stepfather Ivan Rhyner; and his brother-in-law Robert Ploetz.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Amy), David (Kari) and Mark; his grandchildren, Ben, Jonathan, Daniel, Peter, Julia and Ellie; his wife Connie Peterson; his sister Nancy Hefty (Al); his siblings-in-law, Dale Hustad and Rita Ploetz; and his aunt Helen Finke.
