We bid farewell to Richard B. Wright of Sparta, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Beck and Ben Bostad; and his former wife Rita Mae Luedtke. He is survived by: his son Richard L. Wright; his wife Peggy Wright (Foss); his sister Rosemary Wright Everett of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; his daughters, Robie Clark (Robin) of Pardeeville, Roxanne Metcalf (Mark) of Sparta, Rhonda Wright (Myra Fernandez) of Marshfield, Rebecca Wright of Marshfield and Shelly Mawby (Chuck) of Osseo, Wisconsin; his stepsons, Kevin Foss (Jane) of Sparta, Wisconsin and Kory Foss of Sparta, Wisconsin; his daughter-in-law Victoria Wright of Tomah, Wisconsin; and his siblings, Diane Lehr and Elmer Wright. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-laws; many nieces and nephews; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation (106 W Franklin St, Sparta, WI 54656). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Marys Ridge Catholic Cemetery (26400 Co Hwy U, Norwalk, WI 54648).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Sparta Eagle's Club.
