He is survived by: his daughter Darsta Chitek; his grandchildren, McKinzie Knoll, Marion Ramirez, Monte Ramirez, Mekhi Ramirez and Maxin Chitek; his sisters, Kathleen Lutz (Gary) and Joanne Patino (Roy Martinez); and his nieces and nephews, Patti Klunder, Angela Schulenberg, Linda Romero, Bonnie Walton, Brian Strang, Tom Patino, Steve Stoffels and Phillip Stoffels.
