He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Gumz and Alice Gumz (Snyder); his brothers, Darrel and Donald; his siblings-in-law, Virginia, Kenneth Driskil, Donald Moodie and Richard Hanson; and his close friends, Pat, Larry Ward, George and Donna Uting.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Gumz of La Crescent; his children, Kim Kemmer (Brett) of La Crescent and Scott Gumz (Kim) of Holmen; his grandchildren, Bode Kemmer of La Crescent and Willow Gumz of Holmen; and his siblings, Marie Driskill of Bradenton, FL, Anna Mae Moodie of Sun Prairie, Ruth Hanson of Milwaukee and Gary Gumz of Ashville, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
