He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his sons, Robert A., Roger E. and Kevin Strait (Vicki); his grandchildren, Shannon Davis (Bryan), Allysa Ruswick (Tim), Amanda Brandau and Robert A. Strait Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Elin Davis, Evelyn Davis, Avery Brandau, Peyton Swett and Parker Swett.
