He is survived by: his wife Annette Nelson; his children, John Jr., Joan, Jerry, Jeffrey and Jennifer; his sister Betty; and his sister-in-law Rose. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, 8 sisters-in-law, and 6 brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews.
