He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Pettis and Ethel Pettis; and his siblings, Marilyn Kirin, Shirley Deurloo, Linda Mashak and Duane "Steve" Pettis Jr..

He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Miles (Greg Wieman), Kelley Quinn, Kris Hudson, Karri Hartsel and Katrina Pettis; and his sisters, Arlene Pierce, Diane Jones and Nancy Yetto. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren.
