He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cox and Gladys Cox (Wallace); his siblings, Harold Cox, Jr. (Edith) and Joanne Meyer; his sister-in-law Nadine Cox; and his nieces, Sheila Cox and Lynette Shisler.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Cox (Affeldt); his children, Jay Cox (Jean) of Sparta, Jodi Waltenberg (Paul) of Wisconsin Rapids, Jeffery Harr (Susan) of Sparta, Ryan Burkhalter of Sparta and Sarah Spry; his grandchildren, AJ Cox, Cortney Cox (Travis Gillmeister), Kayley Schoonover (Cody Schoonover) and Felicia Younger-Waltenberg; his great grandchild Cruise Schoonover; his sister Alice Leis-Murray; his brother-in-law Harry Meyer; and his siblings, Robert Cox (Marlene), Linda Shisler (Ronnie), Gary Cox, Wade Cox (Connie), Royce Cox (Kathy) and John Cox.
