It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James-Dean B. Olson of Sparta, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 16, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jim, Joan Olson and Marlene Benedict. He is survived by: his parents, Julie Olson and James Olson; his sister Caroline; his close friend Macey Oswald; his pet Lena; his grandfather Dean Benedict; his aunt Lori Volden; his cousin Jens Volden; and his great-aunts, Joyce Johnson, Jane Chapiewsky and Beverly Laufenberg. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made out to the "JD Olson Fund" at Citizens State Bank in Sparta.
