It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gale J. Rugg of Sparta, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Victor and Evelyn Rugg (Berry); his brothers, Allen and Donald Rugg; and his brothers-in-law, Harvey Leis and Jim Guinn.

He is survived by: his wife Grenda Rugg of Sparta; his children, Annette Conley of Sparta, Sandy Ender (Eric) of Osseo and Richard Rugg (Sheila) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Emily McGee (Danny) of Osseo, Zachary Ender (Megan) of Elk Mound, Melanie Hinz (Matt) of Sparta, Mary Rugg (Josh) of La Crosse and Charlie Rugg (Harley) of Sparta; his great grandchildren, Oaklyn Rugg and Baby McGee; his siblings, Darlene Guinn of Sparta, Carol Leis (Dennis Fisher) of Sparta and Kenny Rugg (Ellen) of Cataract; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Rugg of Holmen and Verna Rugg of Cataract. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
