He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Brueggeman and Florence Brueggeman (Thomas); his wife Margaret Van Kirk; and his siblings, Gerald, LaVern, Ike, Darlene Steinbrink and Gladys Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Brueggeman (Sandra) of Sparta, Dobie Brueggeman (Melody) of Sparta and Rodney Brueggeman (Vicky Jo) of Sparta; his grandchildren, Chad (Tammy), Wade, Jessica (Tim), Matt (Cindy), Troy, Doug (Jenny), Mike (Melissa) and Aaron; his sister Eileen Rasmussen (Ron); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Siekert, Ruth Parker and Leona Hagen. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren.
