He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene C. Spicer and Emma I. Spicer (Turner); his siblings, Ralph, Richard Spicer and Marian Hewey; his son Michael Cromie; his grandson Jason Cromie; his siblings-in-law, Avis Spicer and Francis Hewey; and his parents-in-law, Leslie and Mary Ellen Emery.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Emery; his daughters, Margaret "Maggie" Ryan of Tomah and Carol Klinkner of Sparta; his daughter-in-law Suzanne Cromie of Essex Junction, VT; and his grandchildren, William Annis (Ben Coblentz), Jennifer Annis, Jessica Schulz (Iain MacLeod), Taylor Ryan (Kirsten Hogan), Todd (Kim), Scott Cromie, Sarah, Jason Klinkner (Carrie) and Maria Klema (Dan). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
