He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donleigh O. Gaunky, MIchael Greenley and Annette R. Gaunky; and his brother Anthony "Alex" Gaunky. He is survived by: his parents, David G. Gaunky (Lisa) and Lorraine M. Friske (Brad); his grandmother Claudia Greenley; his brothers, David A. Gaunky (Alicia) and Robert A. Gaunky; his stepsiblings, Andrew, Jacob (Sara) and Jessica Friske; his niece Alexia Gaunky; and his nephew Samuel Gaunky. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
